The 2024 University of Akron Bliss Institute Buckeye Poll shows that in the presidential race, Republican Donald Trump leads Democrat Kamala Harris by 7 percentage points, 51 to 44 percent. Herman is the national correspondent for the Voice of America and author of "Behind the White House Curtain."  In his book recently published in on June 4, 2024, Herman argues that public access to accurate, unbiased information is essential to a healthy and peaceful democracy.  He will share his experiences and insights on the crucial role journalists play in holding government officials accountable.
