Biography

Laura Ellacott, a native to Tennessee, studied clarinet and minored in business management at Austin Peay State University. She was inspired to pursue a degree in arts administration after completing her Bachelor of Science degree. Miss Ellacott also has a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance. During this time, she found a desire to learn more about other art forms. She is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in Art Administration.

Miss Ellacott has been an active musician through her years teaching and performing with the ensembles of her universities. She performed in the first performance of the University of Akron Opera/Lyric Theatre Chamber Orchestra, as well as interned with the Gateway Chamber Orchestra.

 Miss Ellacott hopes to learn how to better assist artists and performers and help them work in their communities.
