In 2014, The University of Akron College of Engineering is celebrated 100 years of student success and achievement. Our 12,000+ alumni are a testament to the solid foundation on which the College was built a century ago.

WELCOME 100th CLASS
The College of Engineering welcomed its 100th class to campus at the start of the Fall 2013 semester. More than 750 incoming freshmen are part of the College's largest undergraduate class to date - nearly 2,800 students!
CENTENNIAL GALA
The College of Engineering celebrated its past and its future on May 22, 2014.
More than 400 attended a gala marking the college's 100th anniversary and its remarkable achievements over the century.

CENTENNIAL VIDEO
In 1914, the College of Engineering at The University of Akron opened its doors to its first 28 students. One hundred years later, more than 12,000 men and women have been trained as engineers by its dedicated faculty and with the support of its dedicated staff.

COLLEGE HISTORY
The College of Engineering has a history of achievement. In 1914, the College opened its doors and 28 students enrolled, rotating classes and co-op work assignments on a weekly basis. Today, the College is training nearly 3,200 students to become the next generation of engineers. Read more about the College's 100-year history.
