The Dorris B. Harris Endowed Scholarship

The Dorris B. Harris Endowed Scholarship was established in 1992 by her loving family. This fund was established in recognition of Mrs. Harris' many happy years of service as a guidance counselor at East High School. The scholarship is to be awarded to an East High School student accepted to The University of Akron and preferably intending to major in English. 

Prize 

TBD, but historically between $100-$500.

Who can enter:

The recipient of the scholarship will be selected by the University’s scholarship committee with input from the Department of English Scholarship Committee.
