Biography
I graduated from Walsh University with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. At Walsh, I joined an undergraduate research team that utilized an in silico approach to protein modeling. It was through this experience that I discovered my primary interests in biology lie within protein research.
I joined the Integrated Bioscience program at The University of Akron because it will allow me to pursue research on proteins in a novel way. Thorough science is at the crossroads of multiple branches of science. Looking at a problem through many lenses and being able to solve that problem utilizing more than one field allows for innovative solutions to problems, as well as discovering answers to problems that retain truth across multiple disciplines. It was this ideology that urged me to enter Akron’s Ph.D. program.
