University-issued Apple computers can be upgraded to latest OS

Information Technology Services' Apple support team has tested the upgrade to macOS 11, Monterey. University-issued Apple computers can now be upgraded with a single condition.

For those who use VPN (FortiClient), an upgrade to the latest version of the software (7. x) will be required to work properly with the new OS. Read the VPN installation instructions.

As with any upgrade, please make sure all data are backed up to OneDrive or another backup method before performing the upgrade. It is best to start the process in the evening and let it run overnight, as it can take an hour or more to complete.
