Transfer students are encouraged to stop by to pick up their Zippy pins, enjoy Zippy cookies and meet fellow UA transfer students. Tour guides will be available to help show students where specific academic buildings are located based on their class schedule. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in the Swap-A-Roo T-shirt swap: trade in your previous college T-shirt for a brand new Zips T-shirt.

Student Employment Job Fair and Social Event

The in-person Student Employment Job Fair and Social Event is free for UA students. The fair will take place on Coleman Common outside the Student Union (in case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside the Student Union). Students will be able to connect with UA departments who have on-campus hiring needs, meet the Career Services and Student Employment team, and enjoy free ice cream treats, lemonade, and music provided by a DJ.

Fall in Love with Akron

Join us in falling in love with Akron! There are so many opportunities to get connect with City of Akron and our UA community. Fall in Love with Akron gives students the chance to engage2 with community outside of the University with community tables, win prizes, and meet new friends. That’s not all! Come join us for food trucks, inflatables, novelties, and more! First 1,500 students will receive a food truck token while supplies last to redeem at one of the available food trucks at the event. Students will need to present their UA Zip Card at the event.
