Biography

David Dobo is a senior lecturer in the Department of Political Science.  He earned his undergraduate degree at John Carroll University and is an Alum, twice over, from The University of Akron having earned a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the UA Graduate School and a Juris Doctor from the UA School of Law. David is a licensed attorney in the State of Ohio.

David comes back to The University of Akron having just retired from the United States House of Representatives where he served 25 years working for three Members of Congress. He hopes to share his experience and insights with his Government and Politics in the U.S. students beginning in the Spring of 2023.

When not teaching David is an avid reader and student of history and loves to play golf when Northeast Ohio weather permits it.
