Biography

Sylvester Huston III is a dedicated professional who joined the School of Social Work and Family Sciences as the Behavioral Health Campus Coordinator and Adjunct Professor in 2023. With a rich background in both community behavioral health and private practice, Sylvester brings a wealth of experience to his role. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a commitment to providing high-quality care, working with clients of diverse backgrounds, races, and genders.

Currently focused on strengthening the community behavioral health workforce in Summit County, Sylvester is actively involved in shaping the future of the School of Social Work and Family Sciences. His commitment extends beyond the academic realm, aiming to contribute significantly to the well-being of the community.

In his pursuit of professional development, Sylvester is in the process of obtaining his independent licensure. Additionally, he is working towards becoming a Certified Clinical Services Provider for ADHD (CCSP-ADHD). These endeavors underscore Sylvester's commitment to staying at the forefront of his field and ensuring the highest standards of care for those he serves.
