Biography

Dr. Marion is a professor of Political Science and Criminal Justice, and currently serves as Chair of the Political Science Department. She teaches courses on American Government, Politics of Criminal Justice, Policy Problems in Criminal Justice, and Political Scandals.

Her research focuses on criminal justice policy, and the interplay between politics and criminal justice. This involves not only how the federal, state and local governments create criminal justice policies and agencies, but also how politics affects how criminal justice is implemented by local, state and federal agencies.  

She is the author of many books, including A History of Federal Crime Control Initiatives, A Primer in the Politics of Criminal Justice, and Crime and Criminal Justice in Ohio. She has also published numerous articles in various professional journals on how politics and criminal justice are related.
