The UA Arts Administration program has been a leader in the field, preparing generations of graduates for successful careers as administrators, advocates, and leaders in all disciplines of the arts. The program is dedicated to shaping generations of leaders, advocates, and administrators across all facets of the arts. Since its inception, our program has upheld a steadfast commitment to bridging theoretical study with practical application, ensuring our graduates are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to thrive in today's dynamic arts landscape.
The MA Arts Administration degree requires students complete a minimum of 36 graduate-level credits, including opportunities for internships and out-of-classroom experiences. Providing flexibility to tailor their academic journey, students have the freedom to craft a curriculum that aligns with their unique interests and career aspirations. Students also have the choice to complete either a traditional written Master’s Thesis or a final Masters Project option. The project option, while still contributing to knowledge in the field and requiring a significant written component, will allow students more freedom in using their skills and interests to produce a meaningful culmination of their academic and professional experiences.
With a strong commitment to its roots, the UA School of Dance, Theatre, and Arts Administration’s M.A. Arts Administration program, remains deeply rooted in its mission to educate, prepare, and support arts administrators, advocates, and leaders for successful lives and careers. Through strategic revisions and alliances with regional arts organizations, we are committed to enhancing our students' experiences and ensuring they emerge as confident and impactful leaders poised to shape the future of the arts.
