Well Women's Clinic
Student Health Services offers gynecological examinations, including PAP smears for cervical cancer screening, contraception counseling, contraceptive pills, and information about sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and their prevention. Related fees
- Annual Well Woman Exam: out-of-pocket cost is $150 (includes a PAP test, STI testing and visit fee)
- Health insurance may be used for PAP and STI testing. Please bring your health insurance card to your appointment. The visit fee is due at the time of service.
- Pregnancy Test: $20 (includes visit fee)
- Testing for selected sexually transmitted infections (STI): $50 (includes visit fee)
- Health insurance may be used for STI testing if desired. Please bring your health insurance card to your appointment. The visit fee is due at the time of service.
- Oral Contraceptives (per pack): $15
- Patients who would like to start or continue oral contraceptives must have a women's health visit at least once per year. Patients may obtain oral contraceptives for $15 per pack out-of-pocket. Or, patients may request a prescription to fill at a pharmacy, where health insurance may be used.
- International students who are enrolled in the university health insurance plan may pick up one oral contraceptive pack per month from Student Health Services during normal business hours.
- Depo-Provera injections: Contact Health Services to discuss this option with a nurse.
PAP Tests
- The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommend getting your first PAP test at age 21.
- The frequency of future testing depends on the results of the most recent test.
- This test is for the detection of abnormal cervical cells that could lead to cervical cancer.
