Typical Bar Exam Schedule
- Doors open: 8 a.m.
- Instructions: 9:00 a.m.
- Testing begins: 9:15 a.m.
- Lunch: 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
- Testing ends: 5:30 p.m. (12:30 p.m.on Thursday)
Inside the testing facility
The temperature inside the testing facility can be cool or warm so dress in comfortable layers.
What is not permitted:
- Smoking (you are not allowed to leave the building except at lunch).
- Food and drinks (exception: water in clear 20 oz max plastic water bottle).
- Bags, backpacks, or purses inside the testing center. All bags must be left in a designated area.
- Watches, clocks, pencils, pens (on Wednesday), laptops (on Wednesday), highlighters, rulers, paper, hats, earplugs, headphones, electronic handheld devices, or firearms or weapons of any kind.
Akron Law support at the Bar Exam
Akron Law provides support to students on site during the bar exam. Such support includes a discounted hotel room block, hosting dinner the first night of the bar exam and providing lunches on Tuesday and Wednesday.
