Biography

Sean Steward joined the Akron Law faculty in November 2022 as assistant professor of legal writing. Previously, he was an attorney at Canton-based Schulman Roth & Associates. The focus of his practice included personal injury, complex tort, appellate law, labor and employment law, and business law in Northeast Ohio. He has argued several cases in front of Ohio’s Fifth District Court of Appeals and briefed cases in several other Ohio appellate districts. He is admitted to practice in both the Northern and Southern Federal Districts in Ohio. Sean is a double University of Akron alumnus. He earned a Juris Doctor from the School of Law, magna cum laude, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the College of Arts and Sciences.
