Prepare for Advising and Registration
You will register for your classes during your advising appointment. Which advising appointment type are you scheduled for?
IN-PERSON ADVISING
- Make sure you can log in to your My Akron account. If you need your UANet ID or password, please write us a quick message at nso@uakron.edu. Please include your full name and birthdate!
- Complete any placement tests. Completing your tests at least one week before your appointment is the BEST thing you can do to make the meeting a success! Find out more here.
- Bring any documentation with you. If you have ACT/SAT scores that you haven’t submitted, CCP work that hasn’t been posted, or any unofficial transcripts, bring them to your appointment! These are all tools your advisor can use.
- Use UA’s interactive campus map to figure out where you are going. You can use the search box to type in the building where your appointment is taking place.
- Follow the instructions in your testing email to park on campus for free during your test(s). If you need help, contact 330-972-2622 or nso@uakron.edu.
- Plan to be 10 minutes early. Parking takes time, and you have to walk to the office for your appointment. Plan ahead! Appointments might be canceled if you are late.
