Dr. Changwoon Nah, Ph.D. 1995
Dr. Changwoon Nah serves as a Professor in the Department of Polymer-Nano Science and Technology at Chonbuk National University in South Korea, where he has taught since 1999. Before joining the university, Dr. Nah worked as a senior research fellow in the Research and Development Center for Kumho Tire Company in South Korea. His current research interests are functional rubbers, including dielectric elastomer actuators or generators, stretchable electrode system and sensors, and reinforcing mechanism of elastomeric polymers by various nanofillers. He has published over 180 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters on the mechanical properties of rubbers and plastic materials. Dr. Nah received both B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemical engineering (1984 and 1986, respectively) at Ajou University in South Korea. In 1995, he received his Ph.D. from the Department of Polymer Engineering at The University of Akron.
