HUMAN PERFORMANCE LABORATORY
About Us:
Welcome to the Human Performance Laboratory, where science meets sweat to unlock your true potential. Our facility is equipped with cutting edge tools and a team of dedicated experts committed to optimizing your performance, health and well-being.
Our Services:
- BOD POD: A BOD POD test is one of the best ways to accurately measure your body fat percentage. A standard BOD POD test involves the subject sitting in an egg-shaped pod while air displacement technology is used to calculate percentage fat and fat-free mass. Measuring body fat with a BOD POD test is an excellent way to quickly, safely and accurately track your wellness.
- VO2 Max: VO2 max (maximal oxygen consumption, maximal oxygen uptake, maximal aerobic capacity) is the maximum capacity of an individual's body to use oxygen during incremental exercise, which reflects the cardiorespiratory fitness of the individual.
- Resting Metabolic Rate: Resting metabolic rate testing shows how many calories your body burns at rest, giving you the data you need to plan a weight loss, weight gain, or weight maintenance plan designed to succeed.
- Lactate Threshold: Fine-tune your endurance training to push your limits and improve performance. Clients will provide several finger-stick blood samples while participating in aerobic activity to measure lactate levels in the blood.
- DEXA (Dual X-Ray Absorptiometry): The DEXA scan uses x-ray technology to provide comprehensive, precise measurement of bone mineral density, bone mineral content, and body composition. Physician script is required.
- Sweat Analysis: Understand your body's unique sweat composition to enhance hydration strategies during workouts. Resting sweat test looks at sodium concentration and gives personalized results.
