Class of 2021: Logan Dusseau
Logan Dusseau will be the student speaker for the commencement scheduled for Saturday, May 8, at 3 p.m. He is graduating with a double major, Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business - Foreign Language and Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Management, summa cum laude.

Q: What campus activities were you involved?
A: Akron Kaifeng Forum, American Marketing Association, Beta Gamma Sigma, CBA Dean’s Advisory Council, CBA Dean’s Team, CBA Success Seminar - Student Leader, Confucius Institute, Delta Sigma Pi, Institute for Leadership Advancement, International Business Association, Ohio Export Internship Program, Williams Honors College Scholar.
Q: What campus honors or awards have you received?
A: CBA EDGE Honors Program Scholar, Leadership Advancement Level 1 and 2 Certificate, Outstanding International Business Student Award, Taylor Institute All-Star Award and Top 10 Senior.
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: Continue as a Global Procurement Specialist at The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and continue to improve my understanding of Mandarin Chinese.
Q: What is your favorite memory of UA?
A: My favorite memory is getting the opportunity to mentor and develop so many of my fellow classmates and peers. Through being a student organization leader, holding multiple internships and assisting students in the CBA Success Seminar, I have been able to share what has and has not worked well for me throughout my time at The University of Akron. Observing and developing my peers to be more successful is definitely something I would like to continue as an alumnus.
Q: What unique things should we know about you?
A: I studied abroad with an exchange program in Suzhou, China at SKEMA Business School from Jan. 1, 2020 to the end of March 2020. This was during the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic but, I was still able to improve my cultural competency and Mandarin. In addition to being proficient in Mandarin Chinese, I have started to learn American Sign Language this semester.
