Class of 2021: Tanisha Perera
Tanisha Perera will be the student speaker for the commencement scheduled for Saturday, May 8, at 10 a.m. She is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and National Security, magna cum laude.

Q: What campus activities were you involved?
A: President of the Criminal Justice Association, President of the Ohio Innocence Project, President of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Treasurer of Sociology Club, Buchtel College of Arts & Science Ambassador and Alpha Kappa Delta member.
Q: What campus honors or awards have you received?
A: President's List and Dean's List.
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: To begin my journey at The University of Akron School of Law.
Q: What is your favorite memory of UA?
A: The new experiences and connections I have made from being involved in campus organizations.

A: I was born and raised in Las Vegas.
