Class of 2021: Ryley Watt
Ryley Watt will be the student speaker for the commencement scheduled for Sunday, May 9, at 10 a.m. She is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, summa cum laude.

Q: What campus activities were you involved?
A: Member of The University of Akron women’s soccer team and the UA National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA).
Q: What campus honors or awards have you received?
A: President’s List: Fall 2017, Spring 2018, Fall 2018, Spring 2019, Fall 2019, Fall 2020; Dean’s List: Spring 2020; Academic All-MAC Honor 2018 and 2019; Member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society at the University of Akron; 2019 Academic All-Ohio Second Team; Dr. George D Davis Endowed Speech Scholarship 2020.
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: I will be attending The University of Pittsburgh in the Fall to earn my Doctorate in Audiology. After I graduate, I would love to work with children with cochlear implants.
Q: What is your favorite memory of UA?
A: Going to all of the sporting events with my friends.
Q: What unique things should we know about you?
A: I really enjoy skiing and traveling.
