Executive members from both the University of Akron (UA) Investment Club and UA Investment Banking Club recently traveled to New York City to participate in the renowned Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Education (G.A.M.E.) Forum, an event that brought together students and professionals from across the globe.

Held in the heart of Manhattan, the G.A.M.E. Forum is one of the largest student-run financial conferences in the world. It provides future leaders in finance with a unique opportunity to engage directly with professionals from some of the most influential firms in the industry.

“This opportunity allowed us to engage with industry professionals from firms such as BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, J.P. Morgan and many more,” said Mario Milos, an accounting student and president of the UA Investment Club. “We attended insightful panels and connected with fellow students who share a passion for finance and investing, all while gaining valuable insights from leaders at top companies in the field.”

Throughout the multi-day forum, UA students participated in keynote sessions, breakout panels and networking events. Topics ranged from asset allocation and portfolio management to AI and financial technology as well as career development.

The experience gave students a deeper understanding of the finance landscape, expanded their professional networks and reinforced their classroom learning with up-to-the-minute insights from experts in the field.
