This morning, the Ohio Supreme Court released the results of the July 2010 Ohio Bar Examination. 94 percent of Akron Law's first-time takers passed the exam, placing them first in the state. The state pass rate was 88 percent. When repeat takers are included, our graduates ranked third, with a pass rate of 87 percent, above the state-wide rate of 84 percent.
"Congratulations are due to many people, including our faculty, academic support and bar passage staff, and our whole administrative team," says Dean Martin H. Belsky. "But let us especially congratulate our students – now successul alums – who have demonstrated again that hard work, excellent teaching and bar support works."
Over the last five years, 84 percent of our graduates have passed on the first attempt, and over the last two years, 90 percent have passed on the first attempt.
