JOHN HUSS receives Outstanding Researcher Award and Fulbright Fellowship
Each year the University of Akron solicits nominations for outstanding individuals in the areas of teaching, research, and service, and this year John Huss was selected as the University's Outstanding Reseacher. His expertise in Philosophy of Science, as well as his background in Geology and Geophysical Science, allows him to collaborate extensively with people outside of philosophy. Huss has received a number of fellowships and grants, which is rare for a philosopher.
His most recent award is a prestigious Fulbright Fellowship. During the 2013-2014 academic year Huss will be in Krakow, Poland, at Jagiellonian University's Institute of Philosophy. As a Fulbright representative, he will help fulfill the main purpose of the program, which is to increase mutual understanding among the more than 160 countries that currently participate in the Fulbright program.
