The University of Akron School of Law has once again been ranked as a "Best Value" by The National Jurist -- one of 53 public and private schools to make the list -- and one of only four Ohio schools.
In the eight years of this ranking, Akron Law has repeatedly been named a "Best Value," including for the last three years consecutively.
"This list is created based upon tuition, average debt, cost of living, employment outcomes and bar pass rates," notes Elizabeth Reilly, interim dean. "Employment rates received the strongest weighting (35 percent), and our rate of 89 percent exceeded the national average by several percentage points.
"We are very proud of our law school, its students, faculty and staff for all working so hard to achieve these outstanding outcomes while keeping tuition low," adds Reilly. "The recent decision of the Board and University leadership not to raise law school tuition continues this legacy of being a Best Value for all our students."
