Collage 2016 showcases students’ range — from Handel to Coldplay
Collage 2016 – an exhilarating musical and theatrical thrill ride – will debut at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 7:30 p.m. as part of The University of Akron School of Music’s Kulas Concert Series.
Celebrating its seventh year, Collage 2016 will keep you on the edge of your seat as performers appear and disappear throughout the concert hall. This all-new concert showcases the best of the School of Music in a nonstop, spectacular musical kaleidoscope.
The UA Concert Choir is one of several groups that will perform during the evening.
Performances by UA musicians include the Concert Choir, Marching Band Drum Line, Faculty Brass Quintet, Symphonic Band, Chamber Orchestra, Steel Drum Band and many more. The groups will perform works ranging from Handel to Coldplay.
The Kulas Concert Series is made possible by the generous support of the Cleveland-based Kulas Foundation, showcasing stellar guest, faculty and student artists.
Tickets are $12 for general admission, $6 for non-UA students, and free for UA students with Zip Cards. Tickets are available for purchase on the Thomas Hall website, by phone at 330-253-2488, or in person at the Thomas Hall or Akron Civic Theatre ticket offices Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
