Students, faculty and staff will have a special opportunity to come together for UA Unity on Monday, Nov. 21, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Student Union near Starbucks.
“The event is designed to accentuate the positive and to reinforce the strength of our community,” says Dr. Lakeesha Ransom, dean of the Williams Honors College and interim chief diversity officer and associate vice president. “We want to reinforce the kindness that already exists among us and encourage a positive outlook.”
Ransom will be on hand to welcome those who attend and introduce Mike Strong, dean of students. There will be several stations set up, including one where individuals can write notes of kindness on pieces of fabric that will later be sewn together into a tapestry.
President Matthew Wilson will also participate in the event.
