Musicians and dancers will perform jolly seasonal favorites during Jingle Jazz on on Sunday, Dec. 14, 3 p.m. at The University of Akron's E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall, 198 Hill St.
The UA Dance Company and Jazz Ensemble will perform "Grinched, Elfed and Scrooged," a modern dance work choreographed by Professor Tom Smith and set to Duke Ellington's "The Nutcracker Suite." The program will also include performances by pianist Joe Augustine, trumpeter Jack Schantz, singer Patty LaNasa, and other faculty and student musicians from the UA School of Music.
Advance-sale tickets are available at the Thomas Hall Ticket Office and by phone at 330-972-7570. Tickets will be sold at the door if seating is still available. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $6 for non-UA students. Admission is free for UA students when they show their Zip Cards.
“Jingle Jazz” is part of the Kulas Concert Series, the UA School of Music’s signature concert series that is supported by the Cleveland-based Kulas Foundation.
