E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall’s three major presenters — Tuesday Musical, the Akron Symphony and Broadway in Akron — are hosting a 2016-17 Season Preview Party with refreshments and special offers on Thursday, Sept. 1, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Free and open to the public, the party on the Thomas Hall stage will feature that-night-only subscription packages, complimentary refreshments and cash bar, season information and an announcement about the Thomas Hall Ticket Office.
“Once again, we’re happy to open the doors at Thomas Hall to provide our audiences with a behind-the-scenes look,” says Paul Jarrett, executive director of the Akron Symphony. “We’re excited to share details about our unprecedented collaborations and to offer the evening’s guests the opportunity to take advantage of special subscription offers."
“This party is a fun opportunity to celebrate the continued vitality of Thomas Hall as our region’s flagship performance venue,” explains Jarrod Hartzler, executive director of Tuesday Musical. “Plus, we have exciting news to share that that will make ticket buying easier for our audience members.”
Parking will be free in the surface lot across from Thomas Hall and in the Thomas Hall Deck. Guests may enter through the Ticket Office Lobby off the Thomas Hall deck or through the blue stage door at the corner of Buchtel Avenue and Hill Street.
E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall, the region’s flagship performance venue, is at 198 Hill St. on The University of Akron campus.
